Ormewood Park is located south off of I-20 between Moreland Avenue and East Confederate Avenue. This location puts residents close to downtown, creating a short work commute. In relation to other intown neighborhoods Ormewood Park is within walking distance of East Atlanta and its eclectic commercial district on the northeast, south of Inman Park, Reynoldstown and Edgewood, and east of Grant Park.
Homes in Ormewood Park are made up primarily of brick cottages, craftsman bungalows, ranch style homes, and Victorian homes ranging in price from the low $200Ks to $500K on average. Many of the homes have large porches which are great for relaxing and escaping big city life. Most homes appear to be in good repair, which is a result of recent redevelopment in the neighborhood. The hilly and winding streets of Ormewood Park are full of tall trees, towering over homes creating a cozy suburban neighborhood atmosphere. There is a neighborhood association which actively supports local residents and businesses. They organize fundraising events, beautification initiatives and public relations activities.
